the pictured barrel has a cruciform bayonet, and based on the arsenal code and serial number was probably made in 1977 for the civil guard (as opposed to the people's liberation army)

the rear sight assembly contains an intact, heavily greased gas piston extension: basically a rod with heavy spring that directly impinges on the action to cycle it.

though it's hard to tell without the receiver set in place the rear of the top cavity has some cut outs, possibly for a scope mount.

i wasn't even going to originally use this stock anyway, but it's nice enough that i'm a little disappointed that it's still kinda hecked up.

i know a stock maker, and i think i will go ahead and commission one.

@confusedcharlot I dont think I've ever seen furniture that nice on an SKS - they're always covered in cosmoline haha

@Fuego i know someone who makes stocks, so it's not original. but the look is close-ish to what you would get with a chinese stock.
