I was catching up on news and saw a Fox News story about an alleged UFO. And I had this horrible premonition that it was 2025 and Fox News had diversified into _all_ of the kook-fringe theories I used to study, back when other people's mass delusions still sounded fun. Vapid anchors presenting health tips for monoatomic gold. Steely-eyed pundits warning us about Niribu's impending path. Laura Ingraham promoting Breatharianism under an anorexia-proofed makeup shell. Doom.

The New York Times also just put out an article about UFOs and the actual government's actual investigations into such, or at least one program that was active for about five years until last year.

So everyone's talking about UFOs and 'strange alloys' the last few days. :-/

@emanate Believe me, I've noticed. :) I've also noticed people in our crowd spreading around factoids from this story like they somehow prove we've had alien contact, so... I suspect there's gonna be a massive act of debunking in my future and maybe a little impatient scruff-yanking. >_<
