So has anyone else ever experienced like, I'm not sure what to call it other than reverse sense memory?
Many years ago, back in college, I spilled an entire condiment cup of soy sauce all across my laptop keyboard. Fixing it involved a harrowing disassembly and it never fully recovered, and also forever after smelled of dried soy sauce. :P
I just spilled a cup of water all over my work laptop. Fortunately, this computer is a lot more resilient. Unfortunately, I KEEP SMELLING SOY SAUCE. O.o
@literorrery Yikes. My sympathies. >.<
reverse sense memory, bullying, personal injury
@indi I frequently smell disinfectants/hospital smells whenever I'm doing something risky enough to require medical care if I mess it up, or in the descent while falling from something.
As near as I can figure out it started happening as a child, after a bully pushed me off playground equipment and I woke up in the hospital with a concussion.
@indi Yep. This is a real thing that happens.
@indi Sadly, yes. I regularly smell sick in my car when I'm not feeling well and I have to drive, thanks to an unfortunate period in grad school right before my gallbladder removal. =x.x=
