A few stray thoughts:
+ MAN, I really want to get started on renewing and running my Pathfinder game again.
+ Progressives really need to think about what they would like to see happen to people who've done terrible things the last two years. We need a plan, with steps from here to our ideals and clear, fair consequences for the folks who got us into this mess.
+ What do you do as an ally belonging to a group with great power but little personal influence? What do we want out of cis white males?
@kurtmrufa Fair point -- but it's not about optics so much as...what do we want people who belong to privileged groups to do to help or support us?
Do they police their own? Do they amplify our voices? Should a cis white male writer tell stories about marginalized populations?
There are a lot of folks who feel like they can't help because there's potential to be shouted down for anything they could do; what's the way out of that?
Activism
@jakebe As a start, an acknowledgement that they understand how we got into this mess. Until we can actually talk about the systems of power and privilege without people taking _personal_ umbrage at _systemic_ injustice and reframing attacks on _systemic_ abuse as threats to _personal_ liberty, we will never actually fix the system.
Of course, that also requires people in various minorities to stop using systemic abuse to justify making personal attacks, too. So, this cuts both ways.
