Question for video game streamers
Has streaming on Steam worked for anyone? Tried it last night and never got more than a blank screen. I'd prefer not to use twitch, and OBS scares me cause its probs way more than I need. Just asking for some pointers, and if I have to Twitch it, sure.

@kelseyhusky that said, OBS is great software, you shouldn't have to do a lot of setup to stream to YouTube
Question for video game streamers
OBS works fairly well, but my biggest issue is that I don't have a separate audio input, so I can stream whatever the game is doing, and I'd like to stream my mic, but if I'm in a voice chat in Discord, then all of that audio gets thrown in, as well (and the majority of my streaming is poking fun at the games I'm playing in voice chats).
But, that's my issue of not having an audio mixer or separate inputs. Not really OBS's fault.
Question for video game streamers
@kelseyhusky I've never messed with steams streaming platform but I've heard it's super finicky. Streamlabs OBS is super extra, but if you just grab regular OBS I think they have a version that's very stripped down and easy to use providing just the bare bones of what you need to stream. The full versions are a little intimidating at first but they are pretty simple once you get a handle on the odd interface.
Question for video game streamers
@kelseyhusky I've used Steam's built-in streaming a bunch of times to stream to friends and it has always worked well
