What core concepts form the foundation of your way of looking at the world?

@starkatt We are the stories we tell each other.

I am the tale I tell myself.

"Objective perception" is a paradox. Perception implies apparatus of perception, which are themselves inherently bound by their behavior and capability, which in turn limit that which can be perceived out of all which is and can be. We are inherently isolated from each other and the universe by our inability to experience the world through anothers' sensoria (a longwinded way of saying "qualia matter," I suppose).

@starkatt The Thing I mentioned yesterday, that "thing" that music and sex and drugs all seem to push on, is the Membrane, the barrier that prevents us from sharing qualia. Keet and I have had entire conversations in tilts of the head and expression changes, parsing each other's responses as emotional aggregates. And in the right, deep mindstate, it feels like we've successfully punctured it in places. There's no word for that experience. There can't be one.
