okay so weed-lovin' peeps, what dry-herb vaporizer should I get? I'd prefer something on the less expensive side and only use it like once a week or so, and convection seems like it'd be nice to have. My asthma and condo situation make "get a pipe or bong" not suitable answers, unfortunately.
I figure @ElectricKeet and @anthracite in particular might have Opinions?
@ElectricKeet @anthracite @fluffy For cheap, a Magic Flight Box is about as cheap as functional gets. I would advise getting at least a Firefly, though, as it's easier to clean and doesn't feel like it's going to break when you use it.
@ElectricKeet @anthracite @fluffy I can't speak to that because we switched to the bong, so I don't think we hit the end of its lifespan.
@literorrery @ElectricKeet @anthracite How much smoke and combustion happens with a bong? My main considerations are that I like a lower-temperature extraction (400F seems to be about ideal), and my asthma gets grumpy with actual smoke.

there's always edibles too, though I find it's real easy to get Too Fucking High™ that way. YMMV of course.
@anthracite yeah edibles are a bad time, they take forever to kick in and then when they do I'm miserable
anyway I ended up improvising a bong using my culinary smoke infuser (like I keep on joking about) and a plastic food container, and iiii amm hiiiiiigh yay
@literorrery @anthracite @fluffy I have the first Firefly model, and it definitely had build issues requiring service and a replacement battery. No idea how the newer ones are, though.
