ugh, getting the Steam Controller to work in non-Steam games is still a big hassle, especiall in uPlay with Anticheat… time to break out the trusty wired 360 pad

I wonder why the dongle can't just be an xinput device if I want it to be one… that sounds like it'd be the easiest way?

@pastelbat it plays fine with Mouse and Keyboard I just wanna switch to a gamepad when I have to do a race

@noiob I've had some success using the Steam Controller in some Origin games by setting the default desktop config (Steam > Settings > Controller > Desktop Configuration). Haven't tried it with anything uPlay though.

@jamesgecko the default desktop config doesn't support xinput afaict, since that needs to inject a custom xinput.dll, and also Watch Dogs 2 has some pretty vicious anticheat
