@noiob Thing is
the 2013 SimCity actually let you do this https://www.reddit.com/r/SimCity/comments/1am846/my_walkable_university_town/
people
didn't like that one
@clayote people didn't like that one because it had always-online, shipped half-broken and had a ridiculously small play area
@clayote good to know it had its upsides, I guess they actually hired city planners to design it
@noiob Workers & Resources makes your peeps actually buy cars, for which there needs to be a dealership, and if you don't have one then they use public transit for everything
It also makes you spend a ton of time managing your *freight* network, so um, caveat emptor I guess
@clayote I mean that does sound cool
@noiob I want that too. If I don't get it soon. I'll scream and build my own City Builder XD
@noiob Wholeheartedly agree! I've been missing having more ways to build the city without every part being catered to cars
I dream of a city building sim that actually lets me solve traffic! Let me build walkable neighborhoods! Let me build bike lanes and ban SUVs! Let me build massive underground bike parking garages! How are have city builder games still not recovered from SimCity abstracting people as cars and removing parking lots because they made the game less fun
