Well that's a new and amusing way for gender-presentation ambiguity to manifest.
Went to get flu shot at work, the form I filled out had a question:
#5: Are you pregnant or suspect you might be pregnant?
So the nurse is going through confirming my answers, like they have to do, and rather than skipping or reading that one, she just goes "And have you read #5 very carefully?"
Rarely have I witnessed such a combination of remarkable tact and remarkable awkwardness. XD
The one I had to deal with a lot was Kaiser. Years ago they didn't have any way of flagging trans folks, so when I got my gender marker changed to F in their system, suddenly they were sending me angry reminders that I was WAY overdue for my pap smear, and going so far as to forcibly schedule me for one.
That was an awkward phone call. XD
@wobblewuffess @mawr @indi @starkatt I've had the fun of every new person stepping into the room making a new assumption of what my gender was, as someone who's fostered ambiguity that was honestly a great day
@indi @mawr "pretty sure it's not that, doc."
