Three for three on getting misgended while out this evening :/ :/
Nights like that make me ask, what the heck am I doing wrong? Do I need to put on a ton of makeup or something to get gendered correctly? I thought that maybe, eventually, I'd stop having to deal with that, but six years in and... :/
Maybe it's that I'm wearing a button-up shirt?
... even though it's bright purple and shows off my breasts?
@starkatt I had someone misgender me this morning; we laughed it off as "it's early" but it happens to me, and... well, I end up occasionally feeling like I have to apologize for the amount of passing privilege I have. So, yeah, it still happens here too. I don't know if that's "solidarity" or "commiseration" but either way, it's still "sympathy."
