Hrmph. Computer (desktop) randomly rebooting with no warning is usually a sign of a dodgy power supply, yeah?

tbh this whole thing is due for replacement but I don't have the spare funds to do it properly right now :<

@starkatt So I actually just got done with taking mine in for a repair job where it was doing something very similar to what you're probably experiencing and they determined it was the hard drive starting to fail (my guess was motherboard)

@starkatt that being said i am not a hardware person and im not sure if the behavior of your machine is comparable to mine

mine was basically "machine will hard reboot at least once or twice during or just after fully loading the OS, but then once it was stable, it would be fine for hours at a time"

@starkatt Dodgy power supply or leaky mobo capacitor. :/

@Soreth iirc I got a mobo without electrolytic caps? Suppose I could take the lid off and look.

@starkatt Probably power supply then, which is better news at least.
