i know this is the most basic observation ever, but it's funny that it still happens: for "please excuse my poor japanese", google translate gives 「私の貧しい日本人を許してください」 which is literally "please forgive my impoverished japanese person"
@typhlosion Welcome to my workday, every single day. :D If I worked in a physical office, there would be a huge glittery banner reading "NEVER TRUST GOOGLE APPS" over my cubicle and I would keep a long wooden rod under my desk, with a hand carved on one end purely to point at the banner.
@typhlosion makes me think of this https://twitter.com/LIndeprimeuse/status/1448350289975709696
@typhlosion Oh my god
@typhlosion You do have 人and not 語 there, though
@typhlosion oh wait never mind, I misunderstood and misread
@chimerror @typhlosion "водка хорошая, но мясо протухло!"
obviously there are ways to modify the query so google translate gives more of an intended result, but imagine if i didn't know enough japanese to catch the error
