hurricane, nola, peggy, cats, worry (---)
Looks very likely to be a Cat 4 or higher.
Peg is seriously pondering bugging out of town.
There's basically not much we can do for the cats except leave them extra food and pray to Bast.
I might lose a lot in the coming 3-4 days.
I am gonna need some serious help keeping myself together as of now.

@zebratron2084 *Hugs you very tightly*
If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. I promise to do all I can.
Wishing for the best possible outcome for both of you.

Jesus, stay safe.

@zebratron2084 it’ll work out. Your job’s remote, Peggy is tougher outside NOLA than she gives herself credit for, and you’re both well loved enough to find okay temporary space.
Plus, unlike with Katrina, I feel like a disaster response might be better managed by the current administration.
And I’ve seen photos of these cats. If things really go down badly I’m pretty sure at least one of these little guys will make it, maybe even all of them.

@zebratron2084 I'm sorry, and I hope that everything is less bad than it looks to be.
re: hurricane, nola, peggy, cats, worry (---)
@Austin_Dern currently things are looking relatively safe for peg since she's gonna be staying with friends with a car in case of evac, and fairly dire for the cats :( there's just nothing much we can do for that doesn't endanger Peg's own safety. ;___;
re: hurricane, nola, peggy, cats, worry (---)
@zebratron2084 Rrf. I'm sorry there's not more to do.
Peg being okay is a great thing. The cats are as prepared for an emergency as humans can make them, and that is because you and Peg chose to do good things for a good long while.
re: hurricane, nola, peggy, cats, worry (---)
@Austin_Dern I had a hunch this day might come when we would lose one or more of them, so I made a hell of a point of giving those cats the coziest lives i could just in case they were short :|
there is still a lot of reason for hope. we live in a very urban area with a lot of structures. the cats probably know things that we don't.
re: hurricane, nola, peggy, cats, worry (---)
@zebratron2084 Yeah ... well, here is hoping that the cats know cat business, and that they've got happy surprises waiting for you.

@zebratron2084 much love and glow to you both
