@zetasyanthis UGH I LOVE LIBRARY LESBIANS
@vahnj Have you actually seen it? :)
@zetasyanthis fuck yes both the ova and the show are amazing
@vahnj :D
@vahnj Let's just say the can't actually process feeling loved thing hit pretty close to home. >.<
@zetasyanthis I once made a character whose abilities were inspired by it - she can turn herself and her possessions into paper and control herself similarly to the show - losing paper hurt her physically!
She was kind of Arya Stark before game of thrones was a thing!
@vahnj Interesting! And also possibly a spoiler I want to avoid. XD
@zetasyanthis not a spoiler :) her turning into paper was wholly my own idea. She was trapped by a wizard in a paper and figured out how to manipulate the magic inside it to escape,gaining the ability to change forms between tons of paper and her real self!
@vahnj Huh! Cool! And I was referring to ASoIaF! I'm three seasons behind, and am waiting for books. :)
@zetasyanthis me too!! I stopped caring about the show as much and when the next book release date announcement comes out I'm going to rewatch the show and read the books.
@vahnj I loved the show until a certain scene involving a small child. Have my own personal reasons it hurt so badly, but I consider that event unforgivable.
@zetasyanthis this is very understandable. It's a series that really could have dealt with its topics in a way more sensitive way.
@vahnj Well, I'm no shrinking violet. I'm aware that the people are incredibly violent, and there's all kinds of nasty stuff going on. That's what happens. What actually happened, if we look back to our own histories. It's more that they chose to show something with the explicit intent of traumatizing their audiences.
For those curious, Read Or Die is a fantastic Anime (and OVA, though that has a different storyline) that will break your heart into a million pieces and then put them back together again. >.<
