I had no idea what "you can install other kernels if you wish" meant on the Arch install guide. I thought you could just slap FreeBSD or something instead of Linux.

I realized Linux Zen, LTS and Hardened are a thing.
And manual compilation.

I'mma give Zen a shot cuz it sounds nice and iunno i might stick with it.
I should really tinker and optimize for my hardware though.

Android (10+?)'s notification settings interface kinda sucks. Whenever an app takes me to it I always think I've misclicked because it looks exactly like default notifications settings, instead of "my account on this app".

idea, if it hasn't already been done: mastodon frontend where toots by users on other instances use the style and formatting of their instances, so your timeline is a colorful array

I'm not gonna say "join Mastodon" or "don't join Mastodon" but please don't join the two instances run by the main developer (mastodon social and mastodon online), they're hopelessly overrun and as a result of that not well-moderated.

Join a small or medium-sized instance and use the public timelines. They're made up from ppl who people on the instance follow, which is why there's instances built around different topics (but you're usually welcome to post about anything). Hmu if you want a recommendation

You can also create multiple accounts, all the good apps support multi-user (I'm recommending Tusky on Android and Toot! (paid) for iOS), if you for example want an AD or an account for gaming and a personal one I'd highly recommend creating them on different instances
