@ghost_bird One thing that helped me is thinking of the sub as a mobile air supply and just using the seaglide to actually explore, since it's faster and has the little sonar? depth map thing

@ghost_bird @masklayer You don't. My first playthrough I was annoyed enough at the Cyclops that I finished without using it.
What you have to do instead is build waystations. The Seamoth can take you through 90% of the game. Below that, glide a while, build a small base or brain coral farm, repeat
(or get a mod that lets the moth to deeper)

@masklayer @ghost_bird by mod I mean modding the game files. there's one that lets it go anywhere.

@Doephin @ghost_bird [there is a point at which the moth can't go any deeper tho..........] but yeah, that's basically what I did, except I did eventually bring the cyclops down into the caves with some struggle - still just to use as mobile air supply
