Medical whinging part 2
Did my IM injection, and the med went in extremely easily. The plunger just dropped down, usually there's a bit of resistance.
So naturally I'm now paranoid that I just injected *air* even though A. I inject 0.4 ML which isn't going to do much anyway and B. air would be only be a little easier to push not that easy- I probably just found a gap.
But the worry brain gives not a shit about facts :P
@Cerulean aaaasaaaaag. :D
@Soreth mooooooose
@Aradia @keisisqrl As well you should :P I like the idea but I don't trust the maintenance on any of them.
@Aradia @keisisqrl or just unfamiliarity / experience. TBH coming down a hill brakes that are better than you expect are more likely to make you bite it..
Good job helper fox though!
@anthracite judging by their general size I think you're right there
ableism towards autistic folks
@pandora_parrot I'm familiar with the situation, yes. Which is why it should be a switch that operates both ways (i.e. the processing is done client side so you can force it off on your display)
However the argument in the thread of "I can't use this, therefore it's useless and should not exist" is in itself abelist and lacking empathy. Not being able to me eye contact effectively when separated can be just as emotionally aggravating as being forced into it.
ableism towards autistic folks
@itspomf@beach.city @pandora_parrot More likely they haven't been able to to make it work. Other smartphone makers are trying out under-screen cameras for the same reason.
It's a use case. Probably not one you're interested in, in which case turn it off. Unless their algorithm is really good I expect that to be to happen a lot as most people find *constant* eye contact annoying.
ableism towards autistic folks
@itspomf@beach.city @pandora_parrot It fixes the fact that it's impossible to make eye contact on a smartphone call. that's the use case.
But yes, uncanny valley problems ahoy. Especially when it inevitably glitches out.
@anthracite ...the wiki on that has a really scummy part I hadn't known:
"The version they performed was spelled "Maggie Mae" on the track listing and all four Beatles were credited as arrangers of the traditional song, thus allowing them to collect the writers' share of the publishing income for this public domain song."
@JulieSqveakaroo There's an air filter mod to let you control pollution at least
re: This just in
@Draekos Would you mind maybe not.
US Pol, Birdsite
@Phorm I'm pretty sure you can pay them to me those trend. And of course the people mocking them will use the tag
Work, how not to UX
I may have griped about this before, but this is still...what.
So this page at work has two fields that need filling. They're very simple formulas, X*Y. Y is a very small number and easy to typo.
The software will not fill these values for you, users are required to calculate and input manually. HOWEVER if you get them wrong it errors and refuses to save. So everything is being calculated just..ignored except to annoy me.
re: MTG, medical, WTF
@Verdigris He sort of drunkenly plays a card after about 10 seconds, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was impaired for the rest of that match.
re: MTG, medical, WTF
@Verdigris I feel like the least they can do is go "Whoa, delay of game until he's back and OK"
That doephin (Phoenix-D) you might know. Sometimes NFSW but always tagged when so. More of that over at doephinad@dragon.style
