on podcasting platforms and propagandists (mentions of Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson)
Spotify chose Joe Rogan over Neil Young.
I do not have an opinion of Neil Young other than "musician who doesn't want to share a platform with a known right-wing propagandist and entry point to fascism."
Joe Rogan, if you are somehow not aware, is a far-right propagandist who recently featured on his entry-point-to-fascism podcast none other than known shithead, transphobe, and bullshit artist Jordan Peterson.
Therefore, I suggest not using Spotify and telling everyone you know to do the same. Cancel subscriptions if you pay for it, stop feeding content to them if that's a thing you do.
just read monday's dinosaur comic and uh
this is the most relatable panel of all time?????? holy shit
@g1comics Unpossible, sorry.
Linux: update polkit now
If you are using #Linux, regardless of which distribution, update Polkit (PolicyKit) immediately.https://www.zdnet.com/article/major-linux-policykit-security-vulnerability-uncovered-pwnkit/
@hystericempress Good stuff! Advanced use of layers, layer masks, and stacked effects are the best things ever and my love of playing with them sometimes stretches out the time spent on projects.
I have found so many different ways to experience Photoshop being bad at pixel art.
@g1comics Allow me to complicate the issue further by suggesting that pegasi, like their more directly avian gryphon friends, can see into the ultraviolet. Us groundwalkers can imagine all the fur colors we want and still only get halfway!
So there's this person who takes photographs from inside musical instruments and I want to live in the 1970s Movie Future where the interior of a Steinway piano is the Community Transport Central Hub or whatever.

Trailer for Seattle BLM Exploitation Movie
So if you hadn't heard, director Steven Soderbergh made a movie called "KIMI" which features re-enactments of the Seattle 2020 Black Lives Matter protests, including scenes of protesters dragging the main character out of a van and doing other scary violent lib-threatening actions which are absolute lies. This movie exploits most libs fears of protest movements and please do not watch it when it comes out.
thinking about how garbage NFTs are
so like, if I had a dollar bill and you had a dollar bill and we traded them, we'd come out even - they're just dollar bills and equivalent as far as buying stuff goes
but if I drew a cartoon on my dollar bill, then my dollar bill is different than yours because it has a cartoon on it - nothing to do with it being a dollar bill, it just has a cartoon on it
NFTs are like that, except the cartoon is nothing but a URL and the paper is made of global warming

...I just realized we made this post about "Non-Player Character" without linking to the actual book: https://vicorva.itch.io/non-player-character
Thinking about it some more, part of what's really special about the book for us is that it makes us feel normal. Autistic people are normal, anxiety is normal, disability is normal, queerness is normal. We're not used to being so much a part of a story's normal, and it's really nice.
