A switch has silently been flipped in millions of instances of Google Chrome: those browsers will begin sorting their users into groups based on behavior, then sharing group labels with third-party trackers and advertisers around the web. https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2021/03/google-testing-its-controversial-new-ad-targeting-tech-millions-browsers-heres
The NES game I'm working on is having a public beta test. Maybe you'd like to try out a demo of a new NES game?
It's called Alwa's Awakening.
It's called the demoscene, Mom, and it's art!
(actual headline: Demoscene accepted as UNESCO cultural heritage in Germany)

i think the amiga famous 'boing ball' demo is like, everything you need to know about the concept of illusion. it pretends to be a bouncing ball, using 3D shapes to create an image of a ball. you're impressed that it was able to draw those 3D shapes. "what a successful illusion of a ball!" you say, completely unaware that there were no 3D shapes, and no polygons, and you were fooled by the real, second-order illusion, accomplished using separate bitplanes and color cycling
PSA: If you run a mail server, don't use http://dnsbl-3.uceprotect.net as an RBL. It lists basically every VPS provider as a potential spam source and they charge server admins a $100/year "whitelisting fee" to get around it.
Their dnsbl-1 and -2 RBLs are based on actual spam reports.
