Followup poll to the one this is a reply to: What's the first vowel in the word wyvern, and do you speak American English or some other variety?

@noiob it's not the most common word but I'm surprised you haven't come across it at all

@Felthry I've read it, I know what it means (sth like a dragon, but not quite the same thing?), I just don't listen to a lot of fantasy stuff or play any games that had them

the difference is the a wyvern has two legs and a dragon has four

I mean there's a lot of different designs for dragons with four legs too, I am quite fond of the "big ass worm" design which doesn't really get used anymore in popular fantasy

@BatElite Anyone in Europe would generally learn British English.
