kin stuff

still feels *really weird* when people refer to their sona as a distinct entity from themself

i get that it's a thing and not everyone is kin but really it just feels weird

re: kin stuff

@Felthry it clashes with a little other furryisms that aren't like that, i feel

re: kin stuff

@Felthry err, words
so to say,
furries have like no issues referring to others as their species so it's kinda weird to hear folks shift and refer to their fursona as distinct from themselves
it parses a bit contradictory

re: kin stuff

@Felthry you're def not alone in this though, it bugs me too (it makes me feel obligated to talk like that too)

re: kin stuff

@Oneironott @Felthry also same.

The word "fursona" feels weird. I'm just a fox.

re: kin stuff

@starkatt @Oneironott @Felthry Yeah, me too. I'm just a wolf.

And it's /me/, not Someone Else Distinct. That's what really gets me.

[And you do /not/ have to make a Someone Else Distinct fursona, at ALL!]

@IceWolf @starkatt @Oneironott but it's important that you can if you want to!

re: kin stuff

@Felthry @starkatt @Oneironott Oh sure! Just... there's evidently a prevailing culture of You Should, and, wherf.
