@pearshapes oh fun fact, they make a lot of high-voltage cable with two-layered insulation where the outer layer is really thin and a very different color from the inner layer (frequently outer black and inner white), in order to make it extremely obvious when the insulation is damaged at all--if you can see white on the cable, it needs to be replaced -F
