so is the food seitan pronounced identically to satan or is there a difference in emphasis or something

@KamareDrache yeah that was my guess too but i realized it *might* just be pronounced like satan and that's ripe for puns
it's from Japanese, iwrc, and you don't get reduced vowels in japanese in the same way you do in english

@Felthry It appears the emphasis is different on the -tan part. ˈsā-tan (seitan) vs ˈsā-tᵊn (satan)
@Felthry Wikipedia claims you don't reduce the second syllable, which jives with how I guessed it was pronounced.
