why are all the drink companies changing names from diet whatever to whatever zero sugar?
-F
@Felthry For a number of companies, I think it's not so much a change of the name but just more to let customers know that THIS particular diet version of their soda tastes more like the real thing (even though it's still going to have that artificial sweetener aftertaste that's hard to cut out.) Could potentially be that because of that, they're just phasing out the old diet recipes in favor of the newer ones
@Kilroy well no, pepsi changed all of their diet whatevers to whatever zero sugars like two months ago and afawct they haven't changed the recipe at all
i'm aware of coke zero being a thing though

@Kilroy oh pepsi didn't change *diet pepsi*, that's still the same, but diet canada dry is now canada dry zero sugar, diet 7up is now 7up zero sugar, and so on
coke also changed minute maid light to minute maid zero sugar not too long before that

@Felthry
My guess would be that Coke did it first (because they came up with some new sweetener formulation) and then everyone decided to follow along when it seemed to work well.
