you know i just realized, in castlevania tradition you encounter succubi in order of ecclesia, except they're all feminine-presenting
i choose to believe that this means that shanoa is gay, because if a supernatural creature wants to seduce her (they actually do have voice clips that indicate that they do want to), i imagine they appear in the form she finds most attractive, after all

well maybe not easily, they would have needed to make new sprites most likely, but they could have
(i don't know all the history of the mythology, but etymologically succubus just comes from "lies under" and incubus from "lies on top of", so you could also argue that succubi are just bottoms regardless of gender)
