@kat HOWEVER, the environmental impact of shipping one mason jar (6 oz) by air mail is approximately 74 mg of CO₂, plus a bit for packaging materials let's call it 100 mg of CO₂ (source 1 source 2 (i suspect source 2 is somewhat unreliable but it's the best i have))
whereas a single transaction involving an NFT appears to have a carbon footprint of approximately 40 kg of CO₂ (source)
so it would take about 400000 fart jars, all mailed by air mail, to have an equal impact as a single nft transaction, and i cannot believe we just wrote that sentence

@kat i am also assuming the jar's contents are environmentally negligible, which they probably are? compared to the cost of burning fuel to ship them anyway
