youtube recommended us a video titled "14 copycat condiment recipes | homemade ..." and we were thinking there would be stuff like restaurants' signature sauces or something under the cut but hovering to see the full title revealed... "ketchup, mustard, mayo and more!"

why would you choose the three most boring condiments, two of which we could literally list all the ingredients and methods of preparation from memory alone???

we don't even *like* mayonnaise, why *do* we know how to make it?

@Felthry Protective measure, I suppose, so that if you're doing something and recognize you're starting to make mayonnaise you can stop.

@socks it just feels particularly weird that it's calling it "copycat condiments" when "copycat recipe" is a word associated with "here's how to make this signature dish from this popular restaurant", and then they just do regular old condiments

@socks (i also feel like how to make mustard didn't really need to be a video when it's literally just mix powdered mustard seed and vinegar and maybe some turmeric for color. but maybe they needed some filler, or maybe they're making a fancier mustard)
