Quidditch Pitch
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (GBC)

The very last game released for the GBC, HPCoS (along with its prequel) was one of my childhood favorites. Though this was part of a large cross-platform release, the GBC game is markedly different from any of the other versions--it's a turn-based RPG instead of a puzzle platformer.

For a book/movie tie-in series, the Harry Potter games, at least the earlier ones, are surprisingly good. They're solid games with excellent music (by Jeremy Soule no less!), and you can tell the developers really put effort into it and knew the source material well.

This piece in particular sticks out for its austere tone, fitting its association with a long-standing school tradition. A more energetic version of the same tune is used when the quidditch game is underway.

@Felthry Heck I remember this game

It was the only one I played because it was so good

@vahnj Licensed games are so rarely any good at all, I'm glad I was young enough to not just dismiss this as 'probably crap' like I would have (wrongly!) done today.

@Felthry a lot of the other HP games *are* crap. this one was great though

@vahnj I think the first one is as well, and the third one on the GBA, and the first three of the PC ones. But that's just my opinion! Also I haven't played these in... oh probably like a decade so.

@vahnj Now I want to play these games again but aaa I don't know if I'll ever be able to get the PC ones to run on a modern machine

@Felthry I bet there are folks out there who've got it working!
