A video game controller, with face buttons on the left and directional control on the right

@ElectricKeet But both of those have the face buttons on the right! Or are they intended to be held upside down?

@Felthry Both of those have switches that let one hold them "upside down" and use them normally without further adjustment.

@ElectricKeet Oh, interesting!

The original post was actually intended as a sort of subtly-_wrong_ thing, just something that, while perfectly easy to imagine, just seems to go against everything one is accustomed to.

Apparently, this is something someone actually made, though!

@Felthry Left-handed mice and trackballs are a real thing, too! I still have the bad habit of referring to an alt‑click as a right‑click and such, though.

I'm a righty, but I've always been fascinated by the fact that something like a quarter of folks are naturally left-handed but we still casually favour right-handedness in design all over the place.

@ElectricKeet Hasn't the proportion of left-handed people been increasing? Or is it just that there's no longer any stigma against left-handedness?
