Randomly remembered that in the Golden Compass series, the study of physics is referred to as "applied theology". I think that's kind of neat.

Actually, my feelings per book:

1: fuck yeah

2: weird loss of narrative momentum but okay

3: ...wot. Buddy you're trying to do too many things at once and not many of them actually work together.

I want to talk about books with people in depth. Not strictly books that are High Literature or whatever. Most stories worth a damn have a lot going on and there's value in trying to understand it.
