@glitternoodle I thought the garden of eden was supposed to be on earth? how is it bigger than earth?
-F

@terrana our situation is similarly confusing. I'm not sure if you or we will ever find the answers, or if we'll just get used to being confused.
-F

@dodec Yeah, that's why I didn't think it was a pomelo. Best guess is just a particularly large grapefruit, or possibly photoshopped.

re: not sure what to tag this as, people being anti-science about new-agey stuff

@starkatt oh, is it? I wonder where it originates from.
-F

re: nsfw shitpost, Mia why

@gardevoir okay the only one of those we actually know is computer numerical control
-F

@starseeker i'm not sure i even want to know what happens to LDPE when you get it to 400 fahrenheit
-F

@starseeker yeah but putting what is clearly LDPE in the oven is a recipe for disaster
-F

@g i voted the blue one because you can call them a blouie

@JulieSqveakaroo sometimes the reason is good, other times the reason is bad. sometimes the reason is bad for reasons other than that it shouldn't be necessary though (see the story behind "contents may be hot" warnings)

@sharkNserg i read that as .... i don't even know what, it just sounded really weird
-F

this box of frozen pretzel-bagel-things says "remove bagels from plastic *prior* to baking" which just

re: possibly unsettling food pic

@starseeker also apparently jersey cabbage, which looks ridiculous upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia
-F

re: possibly unsettling food pic

@starseeker that's fair! it's one of our favorite vegetables personally

also fun broccoli fact: broccoli is actually the same exact species as
- cauliflower (you probably guessed this one)
- cabbage
- lettuce
- kale
- brussels sprouts
- collard greens
- kohlrabi (aka german turnip)

-F

re: possibly unsettling food pic

@starseeker Romanesco broccoli is really pretty! as we understand it one of the main reasons it's used in stuff is for that distinctive look
