@DarkOverord does it not anymore??

@socks once a day? that sounds like it would not mesh well with us, we like to do a lot of a thing at once
-F
@ziphi i don't think that's malware, that's just fluffware
-F
@Draekos @Kaffe@chitter.xyz it's true though, you are

@Kyresti soldering in general is something we have Opinions on; i think anyone working a trade develops Opinions about the tools they use every day (we're not really a tradesperson as much as just, we end up hand-soldering boards we design a lot, because professional assembly services are Expensive for prototypes and small runs)
-F
@Kyresti sorry solder metallurgy appears to be a particular interest of mine (ours?) so i can end up rambling about it a bit
-F
@Kyresti (SN100C is a little hard to find at present because the patent on it only expired like last year, but you can find it from chip quik as "CQ100Ge germanium-doped solder", which is what we use in the lab. it's nice! still needs high temperature though and more prone to bridging than 63/37, but that could be our technique)
-F
@Kyresti I think SAC305 is that, it's just that it always makes bad joints and doesn't flow well. I think you can also get a version with a bit of antimony mixed in to reduce copper dissolution
SN100C (a tin-copper-nickel-germanium alloy) seems to perform a bit better, but it still has the universal problem among lead-free solders of too high melting point; all the ones with low melting point involve expensive bismuth or indium
-F
@socks that happens sometimes
-F
@packbat i'm asking more which way you prefer it rather than whether you call it chili or not

@glitternoodle I was complaining just yesterday about how bad voice acting in games can be (a game we're playing has several characters pronounce the same place name in different ways, within a single conversation, which we're told is because video game voice actors frequently don't get like any access to the script or interaction with other voice actors???) and then we're reminded of this and how they must have gone to extraordinary effort for that one character's voice
-F
@glitternoodle now i'm just thinking how extremely *difficult* doing Guillo's voice must have been for the voice actors, having to match each other's speech patterns and cadence near-perfectly
-F
@sharkNserg if you have it, give it a try!
-F
@glitternoodle i was going to say that might be hard to understand to us too but then i remembered guillo (https://youtu.be/5aQHOFAeKiM?t=22) is pretty easy to understand so maybe if it's just well synchronized it works out? I dunno
-F
@sharkNserg yeah i guess what nintendo does now where you can use one but don't need to is probably the best way to do it (if you plug in the adapter for anything that doesn''t explicitly support it, it'll show up as a switch pro controller)
