@socks seriously though i think it's not entirely wrong to think of electricity and especially electronics as magic. just because it's well understood and stuff doesn't make it not
-F
@socks have you tried
-F
@socks i mean, this is basically how the real world works
you can't tell me that electronics aren't magic
-F
@JulieSqveakaroo oh dear, that sounds like a problem. i don't know what this is in relation to but i hope you can get it fixed
-F
@trysdyn Enjoy the trip!

re: war 65
@fluxom_alt ah i thought it was some new game just called "war 65" or something
-F
re: war 65
@fluxom_alt can I ask what war 65 is?
-F

re: Tech, genitals
@socks it might be easier if you write it as CLI?
-F
@Caudle It definitely sounds like it could be some form of plurality, if you choose to interpret it that way.

weird rambly worldbuilding ideas
so last night, before falling asleep, we (Rose, mostly, I think?) had some kind of dream-idea-worldbuilding-vision-thing
a big pointy castle on a hill, like something out of a gothic horror thing, but the whole thing is a mechanism of unknown purpose that's been there for as long as anyone can remember
most of it is broken, except that maybe it's not because some of the things it does do stop working if you try to fix an apparently completely unrelated part of it
people working with it have figured out what some of it does and how to use it, but some of the things that it does are really difficult to even realize that it's doing them, like retroactively making small changes to history (like making it so that you were wearing a hat all day yesterday or something)
the north half of it is pretty much entirely unexplored, because no one has figured out how to get it to let you into the northwest wing and the northeast wing is as far as anyone can tell just an ordinary dilapidated castle except for the fact that random things in the south half stop working if you try to repair or replace any of the disintegrating furniture or crumbling walls
no one working with it is quite sure they were always the species they currently are. they *were* always that species, they have photographs and family history to prove it, but they might not have been always that species when they found the thing

@pup_hime i know, it's excellent
it's completely unnecessary but it's excellent
-F
@pup_hime because yes it also tracks *whose* tears they are
-F
@pup_hime if you examine a being in detail you might see things like "left eye (coated in a thin film of Urist Astlitath's dwarf tears)"
-F
@pup_hime dwarf fortress is a game that, among many other mostly-pointless details, models people's eyes tearing up when sad or in pain, to the point that "dwarf tears", "human tears", and various other "(species) tears" are types of fluids that exist in the game
-F
@pup_hime if you want to take a lesson in game design from dwarf fortress, this is perhaps the least important one
