@starkatt I have no idea! You'd have to ask the Rogers people
-F
@starkatt yep! we've actually used it before, though not for its high-frequency characteristics; you can't get FR-4 with a temperature rating higher than 170 °C and we needed to run long-term tests at 175 °C, but Rogers 4003C (a specific formulation of PTFE-based PCB) has a temperature rating of something like 300 °C
expensive as fuck, though. and it smells weird
-F
@starkatt RF stuff is wild
-F
@starkatt Filters, apparently. They're all pretty standard distributed element filters that you see in circuitry that deals with multi-gigahertz bandwidth signals
the PCB is made of a special material too! FR-4 won't cut it since it doesn't have a well-defined εᵣ; you need to use specially-designed composites usually based on PTFE or polyimide, because you need that low-loss dielectric with well-defined εᵣ
-F
@codl i think you'd need to get the antichamber engine involved for that
-F
@BatElite not antennas, filters
-F
you can't tell us electronics isn't *some* kind of magic when you can open up a spectrum analyzer and see this assemblage of arcane sigils

@avie why does the sign show like, 7/8 of a roundabout?

@Facet ꜱᴍᴀʟʟ ᴄᴀᴘꜱ!
Having ascenders and descenders is generally considered to increase reading comprehension speed, though. I think they stick out enough to provide cues that your brain latches onto or something?
-F/R
@terrana Of course. But having some distance from events certainly helps.
-F
@terrana They're known for being pretty unbiased when it comes to news about the US or Europe. We've heard they're less unbiased when it comes to stuff in the middle east (where they're based).
-F
random hearth fact, because we just remembered a random childhood memory:
when we were real young, we heard at some point that our cousins had gotten a playstation set up in the basement, and we'd envisioned some kind of playground equipment or something
i don't remember what our reaction to finding out what it actually was was, though i know we did end up playing spyro and having a lot of fun with it

@sharkNserg *two-headed sergal smooches!*

@sharkNserg hi metro! 💚

@zaradragon when a kriketune sticks out its tongue?

elden ring
@Kaffe@chitter.xyz we've had some success fighting them with swords that have reasonably long reach--the lordsworn's straight sword in the early game, and the bloodhound's fang a bit later
we're only up to castle sol though so there may be ones later on that have different movement patterns
-F
@socks i guess the only thing for it would be to use a third-party wifi connection thing, but i doubt dqm is well-known enough for anyone to actually host the event data for it on one of those
-F
@socks well, i have here a real legitimate action replay dsi
-F
re: Sad story
@socks ah. so, action replay

re: genuine shaving question, ph?
@Cabtcougalope we've had some better success going over with a trimmer first? not an electric razor, something like this (not this exact model, a cheap one, this is just what we found on ddg)
shaving cream first, then trimmer, then razor (shaving cream is not necessary for the trimmer but the clipped hairs get stuck in the shaving cream instead of ending up flying all over the bathroom)
