@iBolt07 Hi, I can see you're new so I'm not going to be upset or strict about it but it's really common on here for people to have in their profile a request that you introduce yourself before sending a follow request! I don't know what it's like on twitter but it's usually a good idea to read someone's profile before following to see if there's anything like that

@iBolt07 I have been known to be several types of mustelid!

re: all caps, brain output

@rey i would expect it to be lower at room temperature, weird. maybe there's an NTC in there to limit inrush

re: all caps, brain output

@rey a typical 120 V 1500 watt one (the maximum power allowed on a 15 amp circuit in the US) would have a resistance of V²/P=9.6 Ω

re: all caps, brain output

@rey the bigger problem perhaps being that space heaters are not generally 50 ohms
-F

re: all caps, brain output

@rey it probably wouldn't be the best for that because it likely won't be purely resistive at RF, they design RF loads in pretty particular ways

you might be able to compensate it for a particular frequency with some capacitors and inductors though, i dunno. RF isn't our field

re: all caps, brain output

@rey those big load resistors are pretty impressive aren't they? they're not anything really special but they *look* like something special

fast food

wendys i know you try to make your burgers look taller in the product photos but this is ridiculous

also that's a *lot* of meat, wendy's patties are ¼ pound iwrc so that's ¾ of a pound of meat. gotta be really hungry to eat all that

@owashii@plush.city our standby is "pretentious names" (or just fancy-sounding ones)

so we've so far named some pokemon Teodoric, Wilhelmina, Matteo, Cortéz, and Oleksandr

we're slightly annoyed that the character limit is too short for Vercingetorix
-F

@codl the word fugitive is usually pronounced with a soft g

@owashii@plush.city i remember the second one was our favorite as a kid and we loved the music in it

the third one basically made us upset that they never did anything neat with unown in the games
-F

@owashii@plush.city 4ever is the fourth movie, and the last one we remember except for the latios/latias one (which i don't know what number that was)
-F

@owashii@plush.city "pokemon 4ever major spoilers" is honestly not a CW we thought we'd ever type but here we are

does anyone even remember the pokemon movies after the first one or two

pokemon 4ever major spoilers (yes) re: Pokemon S/V retconning old things in a silly non-spoiler way

@owashii@plush.city we just got to this point and actually filling out pokedexes by hand is canon! in the movie pokemon 4ever, which features celebi and time travel, you get to see a lot of old stuff with a young professor oak, who iwrc has a pokedex that's just a binder full of handwritten notes and sketches of pokemon

he also uses pokeballs that have to be manually activated with a knob on top, we were expecting to see those in arceus but they didn't do that

also in the gen 1 games the pokedex you get given looks like a book, making it an electronic device was an invention of the anime (though FRLG has it as an electronic device)
