it's rare enough to see any game even take on "you killed the big bad guy who was the reason you set out on this adventure, now you have to (get back home/kill the other bad guy who jumped into the power vacuum/do anything else that isn't like a tiny fraction of the game)"

there is only one game i know of where you kill the main bad guy on disc one and then spend all of discs 2 and 3 (metaphorically, it's a single-disc game) trying to right what he did wrong

i want a jrpg where you kill the final boss and then that's the halfway point of the game, you don't get your credits and satisfaction until you've helped rebuild the stuff the big bad guy destroyed

sometimes i just remember that the guy who invented breakfast cereal did so in an attempt to invent a food so bland people would stop masturbating (because that was the foulest evil as far as he was concerned) and am briefly amused before returning to whatever we were doing before

it's really painful to talk to the obeyers because half of them give you two dialog options:
- your life's work was a good thing and yes you should always do what the shapers would want even when it seems pointless
- your life's work was a complete waste of time and you should think independently for a change

there's no option to say like, "it's admirable that you did all this" without also explicitly reinforcing their shaper-worship
