just saw this in a lockpickinglawyer video and wondering what the hell would have to have happened for this to be a necessary thing to stamp on the back of this thing

all the stuff @fluxom_alt is posting to FA has me wanting to commission them again for something more than an icon.....

lead is *such* a useful metal that it's a real shame it's so toxic in that particular way that heavy metals are
-F

the combat system does Not!! need you to be good at fighting games to play it though; on the lower difficulty settings (normal and below) the game doesn't expect that much technical skill, just enough to make it interesting

I should mention maybe what these games are like... Imagine a JRPG with a story ranging from really good to outstanding, where all the battles play like a fighting game

and when i say really good to outstanding i mean these games have strong character development, tackle heavy topics with appropriate seriousness, and have a real meaningful message behind the story

tales of zestiria is also on sale but that game is not worth the price

heads up: some of our favorite video games ever are on sale on steam right now for golden week! If you have the money to spare, Tales of Vesperia is $10, Tales of Berseria is $7.50, and Tales of Symphonia is $5

every one of these is a game that i would consider fully worth full price

Is there any instance other than English pronouns of a closed grammatical class becoming open?

re: tales of zestiria minor spoilers

there are several other things i could mention here where this game just has a bad political stance in general but that one was really egregious

tales of zestiria minor spoilers

the incident that really drove in how bad this game's message is was having a whole Thing in a sidequest where you learned about the city guard (basically police) being corrupt and taking bribes (not to mention "police brutality" that was specifically mentioned in those exact words earlier in the game)... and then immediately thereafter you catch this gang of pickpocket/burglar children who explicitly state that they steal because they don't have any other way to survive... and you're immediately presented with an option, do you turn them in to the city guard or not

both options result in turning them in to the city guard, who we *just* established were corrupt, and the characters all seem to agree that this is a good thing

we have been playing through tales of zestiria out of curiosity and we are learning more and more why people consider this game Bad
-F

that is, people putting the word "carbide" on stuff that's just plain steel to make it seem more attractive (because people assume that it would mean either tungsten carbide or boron carbide)
-F

Show thread

you know, you could technically claim that any steel tool is made of "carbide", given that steel is a mixture of carbides of iron

i wonder how common that is
