Totaka's song is a short melody that Kazumi Totaka, a sound designer at Nintendo, sneaks into every game he works on. It's usually played when you sit around on one particular screen for a long time, for example Richard's Villa in Link's Awakening, or the post-credits "the end" screen in at least one game (can't think of any examples but i know it exists)

the lights in the room are also on the same circuit but they're LED lights and shouldn't take that much power (also can't measure them because of the fact that they're not plugged into an outlet and i don't feel like messing around inside the panel)

it's not the video game setup that caused it--just used a kill-a-watt to see how much it consumes, and with the PS3 and TV turned on (along with all the other stuff plugged in in standby), it only uses 1.47 amps on a 15 amp circuit
(and with everything turned off, it consumes 25 watts of idle power... oof. i expect that's mostly the power supplies for the genesis and snes. i wonder if you can get aftermarket psus that are better at that)

we finished tales of graces! verdict: it's okay. it's not one of the best in the series, and some of the characters can be pretty unlikeable at times, but it's far from the worst and the combat system is really neat. The themes are pretty good too, about friendship and compassion and not being tied to what others want you to do

it's kinda weird how every one of these but one is named after a *type* of musical piece, and then bolero of fire is named after a specific musical piece (that is has basically nothing in common with)
