fun fact: the commodore 1541 disk drive, the floppy drive sold for use with the C64, actually contains most of the same circuitry as a C64, including the CPU

despite being nearly as powerful a computer as the C64 it was communicating with, it was still incredibly slow even by the standards of the time

(that was quite an adventure and resulted in us learning a surprising amount about plumbing)

(technically we already did open up and look at how another piece of extremely expensive equipment works but that's because we bought it used for literally about a fiftieth its original price and it wasn't working entirely right so we had to fix it)

i'd love to take apart the 1505 and look at how it does all its stuff but i don't think our boss would appreciate us voiding the warranty on a $100k piece of equipment

when you use a tool on a daily basis it starts to feel really normal and nothing exceptional but

if you think about it a lot of the equipment we use as electrical engineers is really fascinatingly complex stuff

okay got this figured out, it turns out the throw pillows could be unzipped and the cover bits put into a washing machine

hmm. two is a good number of heads to have today, i think -F

does anyone know a safe way to clean upholstery? it's not actually stained or anything, but we have some throw pillows that we need to wipe down with something for mysophobia reasons, and I'm sure clorox wipes would ruin the color
