i think the thing that's really hurting us in this whole burnout thing is.... we have to spend extended periods of time outside our comfort zone, in a place that doesn't feel like "home" in the way that our apartment, or a quiet room in a house full of understanding people, or even just a comfortable chair in the hallway at school can approximate

I think one of the really awesome things with the Matrix is that if you know what a trans narrative is, it’s pretty obviously that, but if you don’t it totally reads as just a universal story of alienation, identity, and found community all themes that are pretty much universal aspects of the human experience. it just occurred to me that a lot of people these days may not know why phone numbers are arranged the way they are, in groups of numbers
specifically thinking about US phone numbers here, from what we've seen about the UK phone system i suspect no one has ever known why phone numbers are arranged they way they are in the UK, that's some real nonsense
and we don't know anything about other countries
