i just described something as looking "like someone spilled APL all over some VHDL" and i just, appreciate that mental image

just, spilling a cup of APL all over your work, getting weird symbols mixed up in it
-F

still really impressed by how tiny the pc-engine was

random thought: if you had to pick a favorite dungeon from the entire zelda series, which one would you pick?
-F

why is it called chess pie anyway

*looks it up*

it is frustrating when i want to know why a thing is called that but no one knows

The Great Eared Nightjar is pretty much a dragon bird.

it is apparently not the most common term for the period, however; looks like it's usually called the saeculum obscurum

today we learned: the "age of pornocracy" is apparently an actual word for an actual time in the history of the catholic church

op amps are wonderful things, i'm glad they exist
-F

things that should not exist (a non-exhaustive list): modal dialog boxes where the only options are "yes" and "remind me later"

today we are working from home, because we got to work and there was a carbon monoxide alarm beeping

our coworker says it's probably just broken but we have some doubts on that

weird things you learn on the internet: apparently, Big the cat in sonic adventure (and possibly other appearances) has the same voice actor as Duke Nukem in Duke Nukem 3D (and possibly other appearances)

when was reality alitied for the first time anyway? and why did it get dealitied?
-F

I guess they could have included the legend of zelda game watch (not to be confused with the zelda game & watch) but I'm not particularly torn up over that not being included
-F

i get why they put the games they did on the zelda game & watch* but it would have been nice to have the oracle games on there. those are the best handheld ones hands down

*why: alttp would have needed more buttons, oracle of ages and seasons would have required licensing from capcom, minish cap would have required more buttons and licensing from capcom, and any other game would have needed far more processing power

The wild Ambaron woman from yesterday, now with a little more detail. Unlike most Ambaron, she leaves her claws sharp and untrimmed; this and her wild mane of hair are sure signs that she doesn't really care about social norms. It works for her, though. Also, expressions are fun to draw on her; I think I've got a good design here.
I don't know her name yet. I'm not sure she trusts me enough to say. But we'll find out in time.
