apparently people are much less opposed to cheap hardware store irons than i'd expected

well apparently elden ring updated but we still can't get it to launch

people talk about ham radio a lot but where are the bacon radios, the prosciutto radio, the turkey radio, the pastrami radio

we've seen one opened up, it just contains a 1 MΩ resistor with one end just not connected to anything

the real ones also contain a 1 MΩ resistor, between the metal panel that makes contact to your wrist and the snap contact where you attach the cord, these just don't have the snap contact

occasionally we remember that there are people out there who just sell "wireless antistatic wristbands" like that's actually a thing that's possible

i mean i guess it might be possible if it contained a dangerous amount of radioactive material but uh

if *that* was how they claimed to work, they'd have every government agency in the world after them

are gpus ever going to become affordable again

i was wondering if the inability to run elden ring turns out to be due to a gtx 1060-6gb not being quite enough (despite meeting the minimum requirements), how much it'd cost to get a more recent gpu, and the cheapest 20- or 30-series one out there is apparently still over $700

setting the resolution to 1920x1080 did not fix it, so i think that rules out some kind of incompatibility with ultrawide monitors

we meet all the minimum requirements (have a gtx 1060 6gb, ryzen 3600, running windows 10) and have freshly updated graphics drivers, and we tried the thing about uninstalling epic games launcher, the game still just crashes after the loading screen

the only slightly unusual thing about our computer is that we have an ultrawide monitor, and that we're playing it over a steam link (but it won't launch if we do it without the steam link either)

anyone who has managed to get elden ring working, please let us know what you did, i really don't want to miss out on playing it when it's new, we almost never get to do that

anyone else having trouble getting elden ring to run? it just shows the "initializing" screen, then goes to a pure white screen, then crashes with no error message
