does anyone know what's going on with the price of soda? before last month 12-packs of the big brands were regularly on sale for something like 3/$10, 3/$11, or 4/$12 and when not on sale they cost something like $5 or $5.50 each

but for the last several weeks we've never seen them on sale and the regular price has been in the range of $7 to $8 each

did something happen?

Well, today had more stress and anticipation than ideal, but they've confirmed that the thing we were slightly concerned about is not cancer (we were not particularly worried it was cancer, but we were worried it would be something serious and maybe slightly worried it was cancer)

they don't know what it *is* but have narrowed it down to one of like five things, none of which is serious and all of which are easily treatable

we'll know in a few days which one it is and hopefully can do the treatment shortly thereafter and it will stop bugging us

Huh. So there's a kickstarter running (already long past met their goal) for a new game from the people who worked on Wild ARMs

it's called Armed Fantasia if you want to look it up. The kickstarter is some kind of double-feature with another game we don't care about or know any details about but we're absolutely backing for a copy of armed fantasia, wild arms was great

we're going in for a medical exam (a CT scan) (the doctor isn't too worried, apparently, but wants to be sure) in about an hour and the instructions we were given were to drink *half a gallon* of water around an hour before we go (i.e. now)
