A thought: Why were token ring networks ever used over star-topology networks like ethernet? Did they have any advantages? Because I know token-ring stuff held on well into the 90s when ethernet was readily available, so why would people use it over ethernet?

this actually reminds me of some of Xolroc's earliest character concepts, where it would have trouble picking a species and then just say they're multi-bodied, with different species bodies. none of those characters really ended up continuing to today though

getting a psychic-type friend to merge their minds together into one, making them one person in two bodies. The two might already have been fusions, as well, except on a physical level, since after all they're both hybrid species.
