Really annoying when people say things like "in light of the current news, X"

that gives like _no_ context to X and I have no idea why they are telling me X

In this particular case it was someone saying <thing> and <similarly named thing> are different

that would indicate to us that one of them is somehow Bad but which one and why

worse is that we currently use one of the things but I don't know which one is supposed to be the bad one, or why it's supposed to be bad

I hate how when I get an anxiety spike (even one for a really stupid reason) my ability to parse things in any sort of complex manner is just nonexistent for a few hours
