source 👏 art 👏 or 👏 dont 👏 post 👏 it 👏

is it just us or has digikey's login page completely broken?

also the most hand-solderable package this thing comes in is a TQFP-100 so uh, that's going to be fun

ah yes my favorite thing, when the datasheet for a thing I need to use has more pages than some novels we've read

I'm kind of surprised that I've only gotten one person pointing out that that would probably hurt quite a lot x3

it would be less awkward to use the tail but it's sillier to use the ears

a sillycute mental image we had the other day:

a leafeon who, every morning, makes tea by steeping their ears in hot water.

it'd be really neat if you could play a pokemon game as just a roaming band of pokemon taking the gym challenge, being their own trainers

it's quite obvious that pokemon are intelligent enough to do that even if you've only glanced at the anime

question too long for retrospring

@daylight was going to ask this on retrospring but then it said the question was too long so you get it here:

What happens if an animal with an exoskeleton or carapace (are those even different things) gets overweight? does the exoskeleton get larger to accommodate, or do those animals just not store fat in the same way as vertebrates, or is there something different entirely?

okay, thank you, people I follow, for scrolling that off the screen quickly

okay we really really need that "remove this one thing from my home timeline" button

video games just have... such great music in general

okay, some of them do, some of them are crap music-wise

but some of the best composers out there do music for video games. Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts series, Xenoblade series, Radiant Historia), Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy series), Jeremy Soule (The Elder Scrolls series), Motoi Sakuraba (Baten Kaitos series, Tales series), Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono series), Junichi Masuda (Pokemon series), the list goes on

I kind of hate the phrase "don't at me" because I can never tell if people are saying it seriously or jokingly

also it just sounds... wrong? like, don't what at you

pokemon musings

how does the pokemon league decide who gets to be a gym leader? do the leaders need to prove that they're presenting an adequate challenge somehow? Are the gym trainers officially part of the gym, hired by the league or the leader, or can anyone join to practice with the gym's type? does the leader need to go easy on trainers with fewer badges, or do they actually go all-out? and if so, what if someone wanted to start from like Goldenrod, their first gym would be Whitney, ouch

Swapped out the two vertical deflection transistors in my G07, reinstalled the chassis, played a game of Ms Pacman, vertical deflection failure again. Something else killed at least one vertical deflection transistor.

So the transistor didn't just fall - it was pushed. But by who?

One of the people in this room is the culprit. I will interrogate each of you in turn until ah screw it I'll sort it out next week

"wooper, the true face of destruction" --heard on a youtube video

why do they call it common sense when it's so rare?

mh

we really need to take out the trash but

this weekend has been really really draining on our spoons and mysophobia means that taking out the trash requires quite a lot of them
