Well, that was an interesting occurrance. Went to a local used game store to get a disc resurfaced, and while we were going there anyway I grabbed a couple games we'd found out we had two of while cleaning the other day to sell. We ended up trading the games in for a surprisingly-good-condition SNES console.

Any good (key word: good) digital multimeter also includes an analog multimeter. The reason for this is that, while it is fast, the analog-to-digital conversion does take time; the higher the precision, the more time it takes. This means that short transient spikes can get missed completely if they happen between conversions. To mitigate this, analog multimeter circuitry is added that bypasses the digital side entirely, outputting directly to a bargraph on the display.
