Lasagna!

we have a new laptop now but ughhh setting it up is hard

this one is falling apart but it's all set up the way we like it

Rosemary took over for a little bit to let me calm down and... I guess I'm feelilng better now. I don't have any answers any more than I did then but I at least don't feel as awful as I did then

feeling kinda, bad about how non-confrontational we are

we can never seem to commit too much to anything out of a fear of losing friendships or something

i wonder how much of our opinions are truly our own and how much are "this opinion will get us into the fewest arguments with people"

I really don't know

sometimes i get thinking that, there are probably a lot of people out there who have a very negative opinion of us and i don't like that but there's not really anything we can do about it

@Frinkeldoodle (easier to us, that is. there are way fewer things that can go wrong when you work at a low level and don't have to worry about things like memory segmentation and operating systems getting in your way)

@Frinkeldoodle when necessary, yes. assembly is way easier than high level languages because one instruction is one instruction and the compiler doesn't do anything weird

but also we try to avoid using any sort of processor at all when we can. much easier that way.

I feel like we're really in a minority of electrical engineers who want to just avoid coding if at all possible, we try to design our circuits around not having any sort of processor in them at all

one of the ridiculous nitrogen ones like azidoazide azide or pentazene pentazolate would probably be the most terrifying-sounding ones in general but the former of those has no industrial use (it explodes when you look at it funny) and the latter has never been successfully synthesized in the first place

mercury cadmium telluride is probably the most terrifying-sounding chemical that I can immediately name an industrial use for
