all stop consonants (and most other letters) can appear geminated in (written; not spoken) english, with the exception of ⟨k⟩, for apparently no reason at all. in the contexts where k would normally be geminated, instead of writing ⟨kk⟩, you write ⟨ck⟩ for some reason. ⟨cc⟩ is still fine too; it can be seen in words like occur and accord.
I wonder why that is?
advice request re: mh -, uspol tangential
i don't think this is technically allowed by the apartment complex either so maybe we should go complain
does anyone know if that's a good idea?
mh -, uspol tangential
someone over by the dumpster in this apartment complex has a huge campaign banner for 45 hanging over their balcony railing, along with an alabama flag (which is sufficiently close to the confederate flag to make us uncomfortable, especially alongside that)
it's already hard enough for us to take out the trash due to phobias, why do people have to make it worse by putting what amounts to promotional stuff for hatred over there
